Empowering patients to better understand their diagnosis and treatment options is the foundation on which iCARE4U builds its advocacy services. Identifying the "right" doctor for either a consultation or a second opinion is among the critical first steps. Preparing the patient to maximize the medical benefit of that experience is also a critical component of the health care equation; an educated consumer is in the best position to receive the best available medical care.
Depending on a patient's particular circumstances, it is often helpful—and sometimes essential—to secure a second medical opinion or schedule an appointment with a specialist. Having extensive knowledge of the local medical community allows Dr. Cohen to recommend those physicians whose professional expertise and personality are an appropriate match for each patient.
