Patient Advocacy Services

Doctor/Health Care Provider Communication

Since providing advocacy services by definition involves pleading the cause of the patient, it is often necessary that a patient advocate communicate directly with doctors, medical facilities and other health care providers. It is through those conversations that Dr. Cohen can secure the information and insights to advise his patients on how to proceed.

It is often the case that a physician or medical professional is more likely to respond to questions that come from another doctor. That "connection" can be very important in facilitating the exchange of information and/or the discussion of treatment options. It can also help clarify any issues pertaining to drug prescriptions, allowing Dr. Cohen to better understand the doctor's specific thinking in prescribing a certain medication.
